Armchair Series “Elton”, 2004
Elton stands for exceptional comfort and stylish representation. Sofas and armchairs designed especially for the Hotel Concorde are placed in both the lobby and in the rooms. Balanced proportions and the interplay of volumes are reminiscent of the grace of Art Deco. The archaic form of the seat and the loose back cushion are held between the sides of the furniture pieces, which taper downwards in a particularly striking way. The object rests on a narrow pedestal made of wood or metal. Elton plays with proportions and volumes. The arrangement includes sofas and armchairs in three dimensions – for flexible use around a table, standing alone or as a complementary element in an upholstery grouping.
