Door Handle (Valli e Valli), 2003
The door handle consists of a cylinder with a vertically mounted flat steel element which is rounded on both sides. The flat steel element is lifted by an ideal momentum rotation of 90 ° into the horizontal. The torsion is linear, without a tapering of the material. By considering the changing position of the horizontal torsion, a series of related door handles has been created, which testify their unity in various forms of expression. The result is a functional and ergonomic door handle that meets the highest aesthetic standards in its accurate geometric shape. From this basic concept, further objects are developed, like window handles.
