Best Architects 24: Award for the K111 residential building in Herne, Germany

The K111 residential complex in Herne received the Best Architects 24 Award.

The best architects award is one of the most prestigious architectural awards in Europe. Every year, it impressively demonstrates how diverse and powerful the European architecture scene is. Since its inception, it has been regarded as a seal of approval for outstanding architectural quality. With the “best architects” award, established architects and architecture firms, as well as newcomers, position themselves at the top of the European architecture scene.

In nine categories, they can prove that they are among the best of the best throughout Europe. The jury, consisting of David Brodbeck (Kirchheim unter Teck), Silvia Schellenberg-Thaut (Leipzig) and Mark Ziƶrjen (Zurich), honored 79 projects with the best architects 24 award. The award has been presented since 2006 to realized buildings that stand out for their outstanding architectural quality in the categories of conversions & extensions, residential buildings, office and administrative buildings, commercial and industrial buildings, public buildings, educational buildings, infrastructure buildings, other buildings and interior design. In 2015, the award was opened to participants from all over Europe.
