FIEGE celebrates its 150th anniversary in the shell of X-Dock

On the occasion of FIEGE’s 150th anniversary, a celebration will be held in the new X-Dock building designed by Kleihues + Kleihues and currently under construction at the port of Münster. The new office building, which is currently still under construction, will serve as the headquarters of the digital branch of the logistics division once it is completed. Selected guests from local politics, including the Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia Hendrik Wüst and Lord Mayor Markus Lewe, as well as all employees working there were invited to a ceremony.

The port area in Münster is the most important urban development area and the city’s most attractive new attraction. A harbor district is being created here, in which modern architectural solitaires come together to form a lively ensemble. The expressive structure for Fiege Logistik and its partners creates a spatial link with its immediate surroundings and welcomes visitors and users of the building with an inviting gesture.

The company can look back on a long history: in 1873, the farmer Joan Joseph Fiege founded a small haulage company in Greven, Westphalia. 150 years later, FIEGE is an internationally active logistics service provider with over 23,000 employees in 16 countries, which is also active in the Real Estate, Ventures and Digital Services business segments in addition to its core business of contract logistics. 150 years after its foundation, FIEGE is one of the most innovative logistics service providers

Josef Paul Kleihues built the company headquarters in Greven, Westphalia, back in 1987.
